This fall we are very proud to be celebrating our 20th anniversary
with a group exhibition of new works by gallery artists and a reception
on Friday, December 2 from 5 to 7 pm. Please join us for this special
occasion. We look forward to seeing you.
If you are unable to attend the reception on Friday, please stop by
on Saturday, December 3, Noon to 5 pm for coffee and dainties.
The 20th anniversary exhibition will feature new work by Martha Cole,
Catherine Macaulay, Laureen Marchand, Jim Graham, Debbie Wozniak-Bonk,
Fran Werry, Lorna Russell, Diane Collet, Eve Kotyk, Pat Dowling, Clint
Hunker.
Other happenings this year include Martha Cole's exhibition of prairie
elevators that is touring the province for the next two years. This
exhibition is sponsored by Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils.
In the winter of 2005, the exhibition will be at Melville in December,
Biggar in January 2006, Kipling in February and Melfort in March. For
more information, please check our web site. Martha also is participating
in an exhibition of fabric work in Japan in late 2005 and another exhibition
of fabric work in Ontario.
Jim Graham has just completed a successful touring exhibition by the
Mendel Art Gallery in 2004/2005. If you missed seeing this exhibition,
some of the work will be at the McIntyre Gallery in late fall. The Mendel
Gallery also published a beautiful catalogue with an essay by curator,
Dan Ring, to accompany the exhibition.
Catherine Macaulay is exhibiting at the Art Gallery of Swift Current
as part of its Homecoming Arts Series. Her exhibition will feature her
grasslands studies and some of her Scottish/English subjects. The exhibition
continues to November 27, 2005.
This fall the McIntyre Gallery also was proud to present a solo exhibition
by Saskatoon artist, Laureen Marchand and a three-person exhibition
by Lorna Russell, Fran Werry and Pat Dowling.
